Another anon answered with a crude MS Paint wolf and five words: >and on this day wofl was inventend.

That was it. No famous artist. No company. No brand. Other anons started drawing their own versions, and WOFL spread the only way it ever could — anonymously, through the community.

WOFL wasn't created by a famous artist. It came from an anonymous 4chan post.

Then another anon drew it. Then another. The community created the culture around WOFL.

Nobody needs to become bigger than the meme. Nobody needs to be idolized.
